The line-up for the 4 June event in VEF Block 5 doesn’t require any extra comments for those who follow the news in Latvian minimal techno scene. Plus – we will dig out the most underground-ish ragga and dubstep we have got in our selections. This is gonna be hot.

Valmiera Goes Ragga

Not only Riga goes ragga, also Valmiera does.  So this Saturday after hot gig in Riga we go straight to Valmiera, a city 80 km from Riga. We gonna blaze our champion sound and burn subwoofers in club called Čempions. More info found on flyer. See ya!

Friday night @ TAKA

Riga has fresh spot – TAKA. And tomorrow night we together with Ignat Gorazd a.k.a. Dr_Ups gonna fill it with dub and reggae vibes all animals in the forest would love. Btw, you can eat there very tasty and for reasonable price.

Two volunteers needed!!!

Crystral NGO is searching for two creative volunteers (EVS project) willing to come to work together with us in developing VEF Block 5 centre for 6 months starting from September or October 2010.
Work tasks will include – helping us maintaining and expanding the indoor skatepark, organizing events (music, arts, theatre, multimedia, extreme sports competitions, etc), assisting in promotion, giving ideas about other initiatives possible to realize in our centre.
Accomodation / food / 80 Eur monthly pocket money is covered by EU.
If you know somebody (from EU countries other than Latvia) who would be ready to be part of our team for half a year – don’t hesitate to contact us!

Monster Games

Hot, hot, hot!!! This afternoon from 15 00 – 18 00 we will select some nice dancehall, b-more and hip-hop in front of Monster Parks – huge indoor skatepark in Riga. Come not only for us, but for great event – TODAY they have MONSTER GAMES there: extreme sports contest and afterparty with big sound.

Riga Goes Ragga!!!

Friday, May 28 Crystral Sound Headquarters in VEF Block 5 will again be home for the regular Reggae, Dancehall and Ragga-jungle affair “Riga Goes Ragga”. This time our special guest MC & Selecta Ignat Gorazd a.k.a. Dr. Ups arrives from London with a real dancehall bashment vibe in his luggage. The intro of the evening will be provided by Latvian souljah with Lithuanian heart – Max Voitech with a selected choice of dub and reggae. Later – songs and dancin’ together with Riga Goes Ragga residents – Apofeoz Sound System and Crystral Sound System.

Skanda Fest afterparty @ HHC

Today’s important reggae-event Skanda Fest will be continued by the official afterparty on Saturday night. Bar HHC – old city, Peldu street 21 (ex John Lemon) will open the doors for the party people with sunny beach in their hearts. Crystral Sound – from 11pm to 1am.
