Užavas Kaituss

Wow, summer is really here! So this weekend we are going to chill in wild waters of Baltic sea and try some SUP boarding, skim boarding and in the case of wind also wakeboarding or windsurfing in event called Užavas Kaituss.

But what is the main thing – we will set up our sound system and play wicked watersports afterparty in country house “Garvasari” 6 km from the beach: fireplace, grill, beach-bar, dancefloor etc.

We are also expecting to hear some tunes from our new born deejay Oldschool Ilze, expert in all kind of board sports, selecting bouncy Latvian sound of 1950′s – 1970′s.  And also concrete jungle rasta, selector Bassline Chris, ir preparing something for you. Sooooo, here is the map:

Positivus 2010

The artists list  of Red Bull Music Academy stage in 2010 Positivus Festival is out and published! And the lineup is MAD! We play their tunes in our sets weekly, and now we are playing together with them. See you on the second day of the festival, warming up the dancefloor with our special tropical-bass selections.

Muse, Scissor Sisters and UNKLE are the headliners of this year’s Positivus fest in Latvia, one of the most popular musical gatherings in the Baltic area. The Red Bull Music Academy will host its own stage on both days, with former participants Madis Nestor and DJ Quest manning the decks alongside international guests such as Benji B and the South Rakkaz Crew, plus a special PA by future soul’s golden girl Muhsinah. Think Positivus!

Nabaklab Goes Ragga

Tonight we select in Nabaklab, quite fresh and new spot in Old Riga. Event will be mainly mix of punk rock and ska-punk with live bands from Finland and Latvia in the main hall, but in DJ hall we will play finest reggae, ragga, and ragga-jungle.

BIG Jamaica weekend

BIG jamaica weekend is coming up in the last two free days before Midsummer celebration! Friday: energetic ragga and dancehall, Saturday – more trippy sound with reggae and dub. All Latvian reggae / dancehall artists involved with DJ sets and live performances. Crystral Sound playing both nights: 18.06 from 01.30, 19.06. from 02.00. With us – VJ Max Voitech – so prepare for audiovisual set with a real caribbean feeling.

This Friday VEF block five will rock again. Raggadancehall from Riga Goes Ragga crew and more electronic beats from Oger team.

Sensational Reggae Party

What does Brazil have to do with reggae? One day we will go there and check it out – but before that we will be playing in the Beach Sports Centre BrazÄ«lija – white sand, palms and sunny music INDOOR – in Riga, the capital of Latvia! Come and see Crystral Sound’s one hour tropical bass show a little bit after midnight.

Under the palm-trees

Bar TAKA this Friday will transform into tropical reggae island again. Crystral Sound will select dubstep, dub, roots, new roots and everything else that fits under palm-trees. Keep in mind – TAKA works just till 2:00 AM. See you there.

Reggae in the beach

Once upon a time the Crystral ladies together with other friends and supporters turned the National Opera square in the heart of the city into a hot beach party. Imagine, what’s gonna happen on Saturday, when we are going to a REAL beach!!! Beach centre KoklÄ«tes in Saulkrasti will welcome us with beach sports and watersports during the day and colorful cocktails and dancehall sounds till the sunrise!

Minimal is back 2 ze Capital

The line-up for the 4 June event in VEF Block 5 doesn’t require any extra comments for those who follow the news in Latvian minimal techno scene. Plus – we will dig out the most underground-ish ragga and dubstep we have got in our selections. This is gonna be hot.
