On November 13, Riga’s largest indoor skatepark “MONSTERparks” will be rocked by drum’n'bass and ragga-jungle producer PsychoFreud (Oslo, Norway). British magazine K-Mag rated him as one of 2010 Top-10 DJ’s in this genre.
PsychoFreud produces drum’n'bass since 1995 and his records are spinned in raves all around the world, from Europe and USA to Japan and Ivory Coast. In Riga we can expect heavy drum’n'bass, mixed with melodic ragga-jungle choons. During last 16 years, PsychoFreud is touring around non-stop and is well known for his energetic sets.
On November 13 PsychoFreud will be supported by Latvian DJ duo Crystral Sound System together with drum’n'bass MC Miss Puma from Varka Kru; later being taken over by DJ Moire (Bassline Riga) and DJ Soul Is. Video performance provided by multimedia artist Max Voitech, around midnight – velo trial show by club Karters and FireSpirit fire performance.

Riga Goes Ragga event series continue inna underground stylee this time with our special guest Gonzaless Selecta from Zion Explorers sound system outta Vilnius Lithuania. Gonzaless never intended to become a DJ. There was always music for the first and nothing else. It happened in “Jamaican Nites” event series in Vilnius, when he started to select modern roots / dancehall choons, later becoming one of the organizers of the event. Overfilled with Jamaican production he has turned more into UK/French dub direction, and later to dubstep vibes. He has found HIS dubstep, and it is based on reggae/dub/steppers dub cliches (OSC, 6Blocc, Antiserum, Liquid Stranger, Pinch..). He usually takes part in “Lowvibe records” dubstep events, that are chosen by listeners of a good taste, not mainstream party-goers.

What can we expect in Riga Goes Ragga tonight? EVERYTHING from new roots / dancehall to heavy hammer dub or even steppers based dubstep.

Todays reggae / dancehall / tropical bass radio broadcast Stereo Sala will be rocked by a reeeal hip-hop fyah! The name Jurassic 5 and Akil the MC will be no surprise for real hiphop fans. There is a surprising fact though, that those guys (Akil together with Louis Logic (keyboard) and DJ Winchester) will have two gigs in Latvia: today @ club Pulkvedim Neviens Neraksta (Riga) and tomorrow @ Ciecere (Saldus). This is not the first time we are selecting for the street artists, so we kinda know what their souls are asking for. Special big up to Kiwie.
