No resting after the crazy Bogota tour! On March 13 Crystral Sound together with our musical soulmate DJ Moire a.k.a. Bassline Chris, straight from the Riga City go to Lithuania, Kaunas, to recently opened club “UPS” to spin the best ragga jungle. That will make the long lasting snow melt, damnit!

Bogotrax action: Ciudad Bolívar

Yesterday all the Bogotrax people went to the poorest neighborhood in Bogota: Ciudad Bolívar. It’s located far south in the mountains and gives home to around 3 million (!!!) people. Every year the festival of Bogotrax brings some music, workshops and activities to the locals, whose daily life is struggle for survival. It was a day event, because after 10 PM you can get shot by the local armed gangs on the nearest sidewalk.

BOGOTRAX 2010

We’ve got news, and they are BIG.

From February 11 – 21 Crystral Sound will be playing in one of the most important underground electronic music events in South America – Bogotrax 2010.
Bogotrax is a festival of electronic music and culture, taking place in Bogotá, the capital of Colombia. It’s a 10 day non-stop experience, with concerts, workshops and conferences going on during the day and club events + outdoor parties happening at nights. Bogotrax calls itself a laboratorio urbano of electronic music and live visuals. In practice Bogotrax equals ten days of intense workshopping, seminaring, and – most notably – dancing and partying. Big Bad Bass at least twice a day is the recipe.

D’n'B session@Tukums

Have you ever seen the dark side of Crystral Sound System? Together with guys from Riga – Shurez and Dj Brain, who were practically the ones who started the drumandbass movement in our country, we are going to Tukums town to bring some hardest bass, broken beats and amen breaks from our collection.

Beach Party

Next party we are having after New Year’s Eve is Beach Party in Fonoklubs (Cesis, LV) on January 8. It is just awesome, cuz sandy beach atmosphere is what Crystral Sound is about (not to mention, that underground rave is another side of us ). OK, but what for beach party can be set up here in Latvia, when temperature outside is -20 C??? The answer is: guys from Fonoklubs are goin’ to work hard to fill the place with sand, heat and tropical spirit. Dresscode: swimming suit!

New Year with Crystral Sound

Kentucky Kid R.I.P.

On December 10, our Jamaican friend Cornelius aka Kentucky Kid have beed murdered by police in Kingston, Jamaica. Wife and new born kid left alone. Jamaica: hard to live, easy to die. God Bless Jamaica!

We are having..

Crystral ladies and Dj Cool C in Palma streets

.. incredibly nice time during our trip thru’ Portugal and Spain. The weather is not so warm as we expected, but the local people compensate that for sure! Yesterday we arrived in the island of Palma Mallorca and played a great dancehall set in the local club ‘Magic’. Playing in the New Years party here on December 31 is being negotiated now. Tomorrow we leave for Barcelona.

Lisbon

Crystral Sound is on the tour. Today we arrived in South Portugal – city Faro, but on Saturday we have show in Lisbon.
